Last Men out the True Story of America's Heroic Final Hours in Vietnam DB 129341 by Bob Drury and Tom Clavin In a gripping moment by moment narrative based on a wealth of recently declassified documents and in depth interviews, Bob Drury and Tom Clavin tell the remarkable drama that unfolded over the final heroic hours of the Vietnam War. This closing chapter of the war would become the largest scale evacuation ever carried out as improvised by a small unit of Marines, a vast fleet of helicopter pilots flying non stop missions beyond regulation, and a Marine general who vowed to arrest any officer who ordered his choppers grounded while his men were still on the ground. Drury and Clavin focus on the story of the 11 young Marines who were the last men to leave, rescued from the US Embassy roof just moments before capture, having voted to make an Alamo like Last Stand. The Lord's Prayer the Meaning and Power of the prayer Jesus taught DB 129000 by Adam Hamilton Most Christians know the Lord's Prayer by heart. We pray it often at different times and in different settings. We remember it as the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples. But do we really understand and appreciate the meaning and power of its words? What we ask of God each time we pray it? When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, Jesus gave them this prayer. He likely taught it to his followers often, not just one time. He never intended the Lord's Prayer to be a museum piece, framed and placed on a mantel or in a display case. It was Jesus teaching God's people through his disciples how to pray in the Lord's the Meaning and Power of the Prayer Jesus Taught Pastor and best selling author Adam Hamilton guides us to really know and really pray the Lord's Prayer. He explores each of its rich lines and their meaning in the Bible, illuminating what we ask of God and what we ask of ourselves through its words. And he teaches us how to use it as a pattern for our own prayer life. [00:09:13] Speaker C: Fight Inside the Wildest Battle for The White House DB 129339 by Jonathan Allen and Amy Parnes Fight is the backstage story of bloodsport politics in its rawest form. The the clawing, backstabbing and rabble rousing that drove Donald Trump into the White House and Democrats into the wilderness. At every turn, the combatants went for the jugular, whether they were facing down rivals in the other party or their own. Best selling authors Jonathan Allen and Amy Parnes give readers their first graphic view of the characters, their motivations, and their innermost thoughts as they battle to claim the ultimate prize and define a political era. Based on real time interviews with more than 150 insiders from the Trump, Harris and Biden inner circles, as well as party leaders and operatives, Feit delivers the vivid and stunning tale of an election unlike any other. In the end, Trump overcame voters concerns about his personal flaws by tapping into a deep vein of dissatisfaction with the direction of the country. At the same time, Democrats struggled to connect with an electorate that felt gaslit by Biden's insistence that he had delivered economic prosperity and his pledge to be a bridge president. He tore his party asunder, leaving destroyed personal relationships in his wake as he clung to power. And when he gave it up, he kneecapped Harris by demanding unprecedented loyalty from her Fat Loss Habits the no Bullshit Guide to Losing Weight DB 129123 by Ben Carpenter Good habits are powerful. Repeated actions bring about change one step at a time and help us ensure that these changes become part of our lives. But when it comes to fat loss, too often the focus is on bad habits. We've all heard that snacking between meals, stress eating and mid week takeaways won't help us lose weight, but that doesn't make it easier to stop doing these things. On top of this, we're constantly bombarded with articles and videos telling us why certain foods are bad or toxic or poison. This makes the search for basic nutrition advice almost impossible, and it's not surprising that so many people feel confused about what to eat. Ben Carpenter is a fitness coach, research nerd, and trusted source of no Bullshit fat Loss information who has spent his entire adult life working in the fitness industry, researching the real science and studies behind fat loss and answering questions with simplified, unbiased answers. This beloved classic teaches us to become one with nature, with all people, and with the world, with the ultimate intention of illuminating the path to peace and promoting the conditions for harmony within the self and in the greater world around us. Renowned translator J.H. wang has spent over two decades researching the Dao, resulting in the most accurate translation to date.
