[00:06:55] Speaker D: Here with this month's Tech tip Today we're diving into the differences between our DS1 and DA1 players.
The difference between the two is that the DA1 player features an additional row of five buttons. These buttons offer expanded functionality and improved navigation, primarily when listening to an audio Bible or textbooks. So let's jump right into the details of what those five buttons on the DA one can do.
First up, we have the Info button. This handy button lets you know several key things. It announces your current position within the book that you're listening to. It tells you how many hours of battery life you have left.
It states the current power source, whether you are on battery or if it's plugged in, and it even provides direct access to the user's manual. Next we have the menu, the Previous and the Next buttons, which work together seamlessly. These three buttons make navigating through audio Bibles and textbooks incredibly easy. Let's use the Audio Bible as an example. So press the Menu button and you could hear Testament jump and then you press it again and you can hear Book Jump. And then press it a third time and you can hear Chapter Jump. It varies on different versions of the Bible.
Once you've selected your desired navigation level, simply use the Next button and previous buttons to move through the options.
In Testament Jump, you can toggle between the Old and New Testaments. In Book Jump, you can scroll through all the books of the Bible, and in Chapter Jump you can easily move through the chapters. Once you've found exactly what you're looking for, just press the Play button to select it and press the Play button again to begin listening.
Finally, we have the Bookmark button. This allows you to easily mark your spot. Simply press the button to place a bookmark at your current listening position and if you want to remove it, just press the button again.
Now, if you Already have a DS1 player but are interested in these additional features, don't worry. A remote control is available that will replicate all the functions of these five buttons, giving you the same great navigation and information access.
The only thing the remote control does not do is turn your player off and on.

[00:09:32] Speaker C: Leland here with this month's staff Pick the book I have for you this month was recommended to me by my wife who had it recommended to her. The book is called Fourth Wing, written by the author Rebecca Yarrows, DB11 5206.
Set in a world filled with magic and dangers, the story follows Violet Sorengale, a quiet young lady who planned to follow her late father's footsteps. Preparing for the day she would enter the scribe quadrant, she's suddenly forced into a different path, becoming a candidate for the Riders quadrant. Despite being smaller and weaker than everyone else, these are the elite of Navarre, the dragonriders who push back the threats that threaten the country's borders. With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, many will not survive the trials ahead. The book is filled with heart stopping action, fabulous world building, endless mysteries and of course romance.
This is only the first book in that ongoing series.
With three books so far, my next read will will be the Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch DB 78165 another fantasy novel that follows Locke Lamora and his band of con artists in the city of Camorr. The story follows their biggest con yet. The novel explores themes of loyalty, survival and and the intricate nature of power and deception in a Renaissance inspired city.
