[00:01:15] Speaker B: This month's D List. Spotlight Winter Wonders the Last Winter the scientists, adventurers, journeymen and mavericks Trying to Save the New World By Porter Fox, DB110898 as the planet warms, winter is shrinking. In the last 50 years, the Northern Hemisphere lost a million square miles of spring snowpack, and in the US alone, snow cover has been reduced by 15 to 30%. On average, winter has shrunk by a month in most northern latitudes. In this deeply researched, beautifully written and adventure filled book, journalist Porter Fox travels along the edge of the Northern Hemisphere's snow line to track the scope of this drastic change and how it will literally change everything from rapid sea level rise to freshwater scarcity for 2 billion people, to massive greenhouse gas emissions from thawing permafrost, and half a dozen climate tipping points that could very well spell the end of our world.
This original research is animated by four harrowing and illuminating journeys, each grounded by interviews with idiosyncratic, charismatic experts in their respective fields and Fox's own narrative of growing up on a remote island in northern Maine. Timely, atmospheric, and expertly investigated, the last winter will showcase a shocking and unexpected casualty of climate change that may well set off its own unstoppable warming cycle.

Once you've finished a book or decide you no longer want a book on your Bard Mobile, deleting them will remove them from your bookshelf. To do this, you'll need to open up Bard Mobile app on your phone or tablet. Then we are heading over to Bookshelf to Audiobooks. Here is where you can see all your audiobooks in your bookcase. In the top right corner of the screen there is a button that says Edit. After selecting this, you will notice all of your books now have a little arrow and circle on the left side. Find the book that you want to delete and press the arrow next to it. The word delete will appear on the square on the other side of the title. Pressing Delete will delete the book from your bookshelf. After you're done, press the Done button that is in the top right corner where we found the edit button.
That's it.
You now can delete books from your Bard Mobile for screen reader users. You can also swipe one finger down on the book that you would like to delete until you hear the word delete and then you may double tap to perform the action.
[00:11:46] Speaker A: Hello everyone, it's Karen with this month's Staff Spotlight. I'm excited to share my admiration for my favorite author, Joyce Meyer. Joyce is a New York Times bestselling author who has written over 140 impactful books. Her books have touched the lives of millions, offering hope, restoration and a renewed sense of purpose. Among the many titles I've explored, one that stands out is Battlefield of the Mind. In this powerful book, Joyce dives deep into the struggle against negative thoughts, offering insightful advice on how to recognize and overcome them to achieve lasting inner peace. Her writing is enriched with scripture and personal experiences, making her messages not only relatable but also inspiring.
Our library offers Battlefield of the mind and over 50 other books by Joyce in audio and Braille formats. I encourage you to explore the inspiration that can be found in one of Joyce's books. From our library, you might find just what you need to spark hope and encourage personal growth.
I also frequently watch Joyce's television program enjoying everyday life. Her passion and wisdom shine through, making each episode a worthwhile experience.
