[00:07:21] Speaker A: Welcome to this month's Tech Tip. I'm Leland and I'll be talking about a helpful Bard Mobile Setting let's get started have you ever been listening to a book on your phone or tablet when it suddenly stopped playing?
Chances are this setting is to blame for your book's sudden stop.
It's called Background Playback and what it does it allows your book to continue playing even if your device is locked or asleep.
When you first start using Bard Mobile on your device, this setting will be turned off to allow your book to keep playing. You'll need to turn this on to do this. The steps are simple.
Open the Bard Mobile app, press on the Settings tab, the third one with the little gear icon.
Select Audio Settings should be the top option.
Background playback should be halfway down the list.
Make sure it's turned on and that's it.
Now if your device falls asleep or you lock it while listening to a book, it'll continue to play and there'll be a play pause button on your lock screen.
[00:08:46] Speaker C: Angie here with this month's staff pick. I've been completely hooked on the books of Ali Hazelwood. Recently.
She writes stem themed contemporary romances that are smart, funny, and impossible to put down.
The first book of hers I read was not in love DB122038 and spoiler alert, they were definitely in love.
What I love most about Hazelwood's writing is her lead characters who work in fascinating stem fields think physicists, biofood engineers, and even aerospace engineers. Her characters feel grounded and real, and the witty banner had me laughing out loud more than once. Here's the coolest part. Allie Hazelwood herself has a PhD in neuroscience.
That background adds so much credibility and depth to her stories.
And if rom coms aren't really your thing, don't worry. Hazelwood has recently branched out into a paranormal romance. Her first book in that genre, Bride, is already earning rave reviews on Goodreads and Amazon. If you're looking to dive into a fresh romance author who's clearly here to stay, I definitely recommend Ali Hazelwood.
